Two full days of music, hula, and community on the sand. Every performer here donates their time. You’ll see Hālau Hula led by Kumu Hula Pilialoha, local reggae bands, ukulele players, and Mr. Crazy John Brooks running the show as master of ceremonies.
Set times are approximate, so come early and stay awhile. Please bring low chairs and low umbrellas so everyone behind you can still see. The festival is free, and everyone is welcome.

Featured Artists
The Cavemen
Warren Takahashi, Bobby Apostol, and Miles Lang started The Cavemen at The Cave in Ventura, where they still play every week from Tuesday through Saturday. At the festival they’re bringing traditional Hawaiian songs and a few rock favorites.
Par Avion
Par Avion take Southern California’s reverb-heavy instrumental surf sound somewhere new, folding in rock, dance, Latin, and psychedelia. Bernard Yin moves between guitar and lap steel while Rebecca Ramirez holds the groove down on bass. They’ve played Spain, France, Chile, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and all over California.
Jacob & The Good Vibes
Jacob & The Good Vibes are a Southern California trio blending reggae, R&B, and Latin influences into a sound built on groove, musicianship, and connection. Featuring Jacob Marquez on guitar and lead vocals, Mike ‘Chango’ Chang on bass, and Marco Perez on drums, the band first crossed paths in other groups before coming together during the pandemic, where they found a natural chemistry and a style all their own. They introduced their originals with the 2023 single “Island in the Sky” and expanded their range on 2026’s “Busman’s Holiday,” moving between laid-back reggae, soulful R&B, and Latin-inspired rhythms. Live, they’re just as known for reimagining familiar songs, turning classics across reggae, rock, and R&B into arrangements that feel like theirs.
SkaDaddyZ
SkaDaddyZ came out of Silver Strand Beach in 1992 and have been a fixture of the Southern California scene ever since. They call their sound Skalternative: ska, funk, rasta, and punk, played loud. The VCMusic Awards handed them a Lifetime Achievement award and named them Reggae Band of the Year twice. They’ve shared stages with No Doubt, Sublime, Fishbone, and The Specials, and their cover of “Hotel California” passed a million downloads. The eight-piece has a new twelve-song album out this year.
Morie & the Heavy Hitters
Morie & the Heavy Hitters formed in 2022, mixing roots reggae with soul, R&B, and neo-soul. Morie writes and sings and plays most of it, drawing on Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Burning Spear, with songs about love, unity, and social justice. Their single “My Everything” got them onto radio and playlists, and they’ve built a name for loud, soulful live shows.
Top Shelf
Top Shelf play roots reggae and classic rock around Ventura County, up and down the coast all summer. Sunday afternoon they’re on the Main Stage.
Heavy Rotation
Heavy Rotation formed in 2021 along California’s Central Coast, between Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo. They blend Polynesian reggae, Jamaican roots, and ’90s R&B into big melodies with soulful harmonies, lovers-rock lyrics, heavy roots drums, and soaring lead guitar. Their latest single is “Body High.”
Rising Son
Rising Son bring roots-reggae rhythms and good vibes to the Main Stage, with a soulful island sound made for a day on the sand.
Kainoa Tiger Aloha 805
Kainoa Tiger grew up on Oʻahu and sings modern reggae with a smooth R&B edge. He walked off Season 24 of American Idol with a Golden Ticket and a unanimous yes from Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan. He lives in Ventura County now and works at a wellness and recovery center in Oxnard, mentoring teens and young adults. Aloha 805 is his band, backed by a lineup of seasoned local players.
